Any theory concerning Supertramp is alright by me. I'm prepared to believe anything of them. My favourite theory was powerfully elucidated by Kirsty MacColl: "There's a guy works down the chip shop who swears he's Elvis. But he's a liar and I'm not sure about you." When the 'new coke' theory was going around the official response was something like: "Truth is, we're not that dumb and we're not that clever." On the other hand, that's exactly what they would say, isn't it...
